About Ginnie

Hello, I have had dogs since I was 16, my first dog was a Beagle and that indeed was a learning curve.  I moved on to Rough Collies and then with a young family down sized to a Shetland Sheepdog, Callum, who was a wonderful family pet.  Over the years I have been involved with many breeds from Border Collies to Afghan hounds.

But obedience training started with my sheltie Archie back in 2008.  We competed in Obedience, Agility and Rally-O shows with some success.

Archie was an amazing dog who was easy to train and I learned so much about each dog sport on his journey.

Archie’s main buddy as Fraser, a Border Collie. Owning and training Fraser taught me so much about dogs that need to have a purpose and want to work, and that a ‘one size fits all’ training method does not work for dogs.  Each one is different and needs to be trained for its own characteristics.  I currently have two dogs I am working with, Taff a Shetland Sheepdog and Remi, a Rough Collie.

I have a Diploma in Dog Psychology, Behaviour and Training.  I have over ten years of experience instructing at both a private training company and at public dog clubs.  Both these experiences have enabled me to look at puppies and their families and direct them in the right way for a happy household and well behaved puppy.
